Medical Education Unit (MEU)

Medical Education Unit functions as a support unit that facilitates the professional development of academic staff to suit their educational, teaching and research responsibilities. We provide mechanisms for capacity building, assessment and evaluation in teaching and learning. We motivate and drive research in medical education sciences, whereby members share in featured research plans, projects as well as collaborations either locally, nationally or internationally.

Objectives

• Provides educational training and support to meet the needs of all academic staff
• Enables staff to access a Monash accredited CEED Program, and provide support to facilitate its successful completion
• Provides mechanisms for critically assessing and evaluating teaching performance through involvement in activities such as: Peer Review, Professional portfolios and self-reflection and evaluation.
