Workshop 1
Breaking the fourth wall - bringing the room into Zoom
Synopsis:
At a time when we have all had to move to online learning, how can we create a sense of engagement? Over the course of the workshop you will learn how to engage (and be engaged) with your learners. You'll learn about the hardware, the software and the wetware that can change your practice.
Objectives:
- Understand the fundamentals of sound and vision for online learning
- Create an opening script to engage learners from the outset
- Understand how to adapt your slide design for online learning
- Learn how to use breakout rooms for maximum benefit
- Learn how to use interactive engagement tools
Workshop 2
Ethical and Professional Dilemmas in Clinical Practice
Synopsis:
Ethical and professional issues are present in all aspects of life. Therefore, it is important that health care professionals recognise these issues, and are mindful on how to address them in a constructive and effective manner for all stakeholders.
In this workshop, participants will work in small groups and discuss the dilemmas encountered in the clinical context.
We will use four real clinical cases that have been di-identified for purpose of this workshop.
Objectives:
- To discuss ethical and professional dilemmas in the clinical context
- To identify the possible outcomes of these dilemmas on different stakeholders
- To explore possible solutions to these dilemmas
