Monash Account for Staff (my.monash)

Monash account provides access to all Monash online resources, for example:

  • Monash email and Google Apps (Drive, Calendar, Hangouts and etc.)
  • Wireless services
  • Employee Self Service (ESS) - HR

An initial password will be created for you, but for security purposes, this password must be changed within 12 hours.

Note: With the MFA implementation, user do not have to change their passwords anymore.

Once you start using your account, set yourself a Personal Identification Word (PIW). Your PIW will enable you to reset your own password online if you forget it.

You can also request a specific system account (e.g. Moodle or Callista accounts) through Service Desk Online once your Authcate account is set up, should this be required for your work.


Network ID for Staff & Visitor

All Monash staffs received a computer account (Network ID) to access Monash IT services, for example:

  • Home Drive & Shared Network Drives
  • Web Drive
  • Printing Services
  • Staff Intranet (Full Time Staff)
  • Wireless services
  • PC Login Access

Monash visitor will receive only WiFi and PC access upon approval from HOU and HOS.

Important Note:

  1. ITS will require 4 working days to process the account creation for staff upon receiving the request from Human Resources unit.
  2. The requestor must submit the request to ITS 4 working days before the visiting date to ensure proper permission can be granted for visitor.
  3. An initial password will be created for you, but for security purposes, this password must be changed for the first time login.
