CSJB Health and Wellness Week 2016

The Health and Wellness Week held at the JCSMHS Clinical School Johor Bahru (CSJB) on 25 to 29 July 2016 was organised by the Student Support Committee in collaboration with Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Department. Its objective was to promote healthy and happy living among the campus community based on the concepts of “Eat healthy and get active” and also “Work-life balance”.
A variety of activities carried out during the week included health screening, fire-fighting and road safety poster exhibition, "The Amazing Hunt", Zumba class, "The Power of Laughter", healthy cooking competition and "Talent Evening" that helped to raise awareness on living a healthy lifestyle.
Students demonstrated excellent team-work and problem solving skills throughout the various activities. One of the highlights of the week was an exciting healthy snack cooking competition, where students presented their creativity and excellent culinary skills with their delicious and healthy dishes, such as salmon bread, chicken kebab, Vietnamese roll, baked mushrooms, Ratatouille and nutty crunch.
Several individual and group performances carrying the message of health and wellness were presented during the Talent Evening. The entertaining performances included singing, dances, sign language and musical instrument performances.
