At Monash Business, we believe in shared knowledge for the good of all. We welcome applications from academics looking to conduct research-related activities at our campus for a duration of one to three months.
As an institution known for its excellence in research, visiting academics will enjoy state-of-the-art facilities in a supportive environment. An office space with the necessary research infrastructure will also be provided (depending on availability).
If you are a non-Malaysian, you will be required to obtain a Professional Visit Pass (PVP) and a visa (if applicable) prior to entry into Malaysia. Monash University Malaysia will assist in the application for the PVP. In general, the processing lead time of a PVP is two months.
Important: Please note that no data collection, specimens or samples are allowed in your research activities as the terms of your visa do not permit such activities.
You must secure your own research funding to cover costs associated with visa applications, health insurance, accommodation, research-related activities and other ground expenses. Any costs for quarantine or medical tests, if applicable, must also be borne by you. As a visiting academic, you are also required to make your own arrangements for housing and transportation.
Foreign academics with successful applications will be granted an honorarium to subsidise ground costs. A return air ticket (economy class) may also be provided, subject to approval from the Head of School.
