Collaborations with Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC)
Monash University Malaysia and the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to further explore potential collaborations in research projects, events and activities that would foster the business culture among Malaysia-China entrepreneurs.
The partnership of these two organisations seeks to build relationships and explore potential collaboration to cultivate the Malaysia-China constant emerging commerce.

Monash University Malaysia and the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to further explore potential collaborations in research projects, events and activities that would foster the business culture among Malaysia-China entrepreneurs.
“Signing this MoU, we are embarking on a new journey in sharing knowledge and resources to support future collaborations that will foster the cultural relationship between MCCC and Monash Malaysia. The MCCC Association has facilitated business commerce between Malaysia and China since 1990. Our association has more than 1200 delegates from China since its reopening of the border after 3 years of pandemic. As next year marks our 25th Anniversary, we look forward to collaborating with Monash University Malaysia to commemorate the 25th year anniversary,” said Kevin T.C. Siah, Vice President of the MCCC Association.
The objectives of the MoU seek to encompass future collaboration between Monash Malaysia and MCCC for forthcoming projects and activities on research purposes, professional development programs, and other forms of collaboration agreeable to both parties as may be established from time to time under this MOU.
This partnership marks a new beginning between Monash University Malaysia and MCCC to build upon the cultural relationship between Malaysia and China. As Professor Nafis Alam stated: “The MoU between Monash Malaysia and the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) encapsulates the spirit of collaboration. It speaks to the power of partnerships – partnerships that cross borders, industries, and disciplines, all for the betterment of our societies and economies. This agreement reflects our shared commitment to fostering trade, investment, and industrial growth, while nurturing the talents and leaders of tomorrow through initiatives that would bridge the gap between academia and industry. This momentous occasion is not just a signature on paper; it is a symbol of our collective aspirations. As we come together to share insights, knowledge, and ideas, we are shaping a future that is richer, more dynamic, and more interconnected”.
The MOU was signed by the Head of School of Business, Monash University Malaysia, Professor Nafis Alam and MCCC Secretary-General, Tan In Fong, in the presence of Monash Malaysia's School of Business and MCCC representatives.
