3 December 2018

Associate Professor Sivalal Sadasivam (left) and Associate Professor Amudha Kadirvelu have received the Monash Vice Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence in a Priority Area last week. Their project "Collaborative Care: Action on Asthma" involved coordination between four teaching centres. Collaborative Care is an area that Monash University is keen on developing and hence JCSMHS is proud to be part of the forefront of innovation in this area.
The team included academics from JCSMHS, Monash Malaysia's School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine in Clayton and Faculty of Pharmacy Parkville. The project shows the power of teamwork - across professions and countries.
“Frankly speaking, I was pleasantly surprised and honoured to get this prestigious award considering there were many other outstanding poster presentations, both locally as well as internationally. Well, they say ‘enthusiasm is contagious’, and I articulated my research findings with passion and confidence as teaching is something close to my heart,” Dr Amudha remarked.
