We conduct and publish research that:

• generates new knowledge and understanding of the human experience, past, present, and future;
• emphasises social and environmental justice, inclusion, and equity;
• interrogates what it means to live in a digital society;
• contributes a regional–especially Southeast Asian–perspective on global challenges;
• empowers individuals and communities–locally, regionally, and globally–to thrive in the face of these challenges.

Through our teaching:

• we develop critical thinkers, global citizens, and change-makers
• we nurture an appreciation of past, present, and future along with the ability to understand and thrive in the digital society
• we offer a transformational education that is centred on the whole student experience
• we ground our teaching in our research and scholarly expertise and our values of social justice and inclusivity
