AMU3744 Workplace Learning Internship (Summer A, 2026)

Overview of AMU3744

AMU3744 is an internship-based assessment unit offered by the School of Arts and Social Sciences. It serves as both a capstone unit and a Work Integrated Learning unit across all majors offered under the Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences (e.g. Communication, Gender Studies, Global Studies and Film, Television & Screen Studies).

Key Learning Outcomes

Through this unit, students are able to apply the concepts and skills acquired throughout their studies in a real-world professional setting. The internship experience aims to enhance students’ understanding of their chosen field, develop industry-relevant competencies, and prepare them for future career pathways.
By completing an internship, students can build practical skills and gain real-world work experience. It allows them to apply what they have learned in class to real situations while exploring an area of specialisation they may wish to pursue after graduation.
The work placement helps strengthen and extend their learning from core and other degree units through hands-on experience.
