Personal statement

Faranak Rabiei is a lecturer of School of Engineering, Monash University Malaysia. She received her B.Sc. M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in applied mathematics. She worked before as a researcher and senior lecturer at Universiti Putra Malaysia.

Her past research projects were on   computational mathematics, numerical and analytical methods for solving different types of differential equations (i.e.  ordinary differential equation, delay differential equation, volterra-integro differential equation, fractional differential equation, boundary value problems, partial differential equations in fluid dynamics problems). She also has research works on fuzzy logic and fuzzy sets and systems.

Her current research at school of Engineering  Monash University focuses in analysis of  computational fluid dynamics (CFD) particularly for nanofluid  and  Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) with Its applications in engineering.

Research Interests

My research work background is on computational mathematics, numerical and analytical methods for solving different types of differential equations (i.e.  ordinary differential equation, delay differential equation, volterra-integro differential equation, fractional differential equation, boundary value problems, partial differential equations in fluid dynamics problems, fuzzy logic and fuzzy sets and systems)
