Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP)
UROP provides undergraduate engineering students an early opportunity to experience a genuine research environment, working either with a supervisor or a research group. During this program, students will acquire knowledge and numerous skills to confidently progress to more independent research tasks and get prepared to undertake final year project (FYP) and pursue any future postgraduate study. UROP invites students (year 2 and 3 only) with WAM > 75 to join this program and conduct a small research project (to be done in one semester) under the supervision of their desired supervisors. The successful applicants who complete the program will receive a certificate while the top 3 projects of the year will also be awarded a cash prize. Applicants have the choice to continue their projects for one more semester if both student and supervisor wish to do so.
