Photoreforming of Ethanol to Produce Hydrogen and Other Valued-Added Products via CuBi2O4 /Ag2CO3Z-Scheme Semiconductor
Topic: Photoreforming of Ethanol to Produce Hydrogen and Other Valued-Added Products via CuBi2O4/Ag2CO3 Z-Scheme Semiconductor
Student: Ng Jing Xiang
Supervisor: Dr. Estee Yong Siek Ting
In this UROP project, Ng Jing Xiang, a third-year chemical engineering student, had the opportunity to do a research project during semester break. Throughout this program, he has obtained laboratory skills and knowledge on operating analytical equipment such as Gas Chromatography (GC), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and so on. He had also discovered and furthered his interest in developing efficient photocatalyst, by taking Final Year Project titled “Heteroatom Dual Doping of Few-Layered ZnIn2S4 Semiconductor with Tailored Binary Atomic Sites for Photocatalytic H2 Evolution from Seawater”.

What Jing Xiang said about his UROP experience
“This research program has allowed me to discover my research interest as well as helped me to be well-prepared and well-equipped with laboratory skills before taking Final Year Project.”
