ATS to Interview: Crack the Career Code
EAMMSS successfully organized its second flagship event for Semester 2, 2025 on 6 October 2025, featuring guest speakers Ms. Coco Yap and Ms. Lee Hong Yeng. The 2-hour event was an engaging and practical session designed to help participants strengthen their job applications and enhance their career readiness.
The program included a Personalized Resume Review, offering tailored feedback to help CVs stand out. A fun and interactive Workplace Personality Discovery activity encouraged participants to reflect on their strengths and unique traits. The session also featured Career Hacks, where practical tips were shared to overcome common job-hunting challenges. Finally, the Fresh Grad Toolkit provided valuable guidance on ATS-friendly resumes, interview strategies, and first-job advice, equipping attendees with the confidence and skills to excel in their career journeys. Besides that, EAMMSS collaborated with Cake Resume to offer participants a 3-month sponsored package on the Cake Resume Builder website, allowing them to continue refining their resumes after the event.
Ms. Coco Yap, a Business Development Representative, was invited to provide participants with expert guidance on building strong and impactful resumes. By sharing practical strategies, industry insights, and best practices, she helped attendees understand how to tailor their resumes to stand out in competitive job applications.
Ms. Lee Hong Yeng, a Business Development Associate, was invited to offer an employer’s perspective on what recruiters look for in a resume. By highlighting common pitfalls, essential qualities, and real-world expectations, she equipped participants with valuable knowledge to refine their applications and increase their chances of success in the job market.
Overall, the event highlighted EAMMSS’s strong commitment to empowering Monash students to realise their academic dreams and succeed in their educational journey.
