Meet the Researchers
| Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Lau is part of the Energy and Sustainability team, and heads the Sustainability and Environment Lab. Dr. Lau is currently a Senior Lecturer and Course Coordinator of Mechanical Engineering Discipline. Heading the Sustainability and Environment Lab, her research focuses on the various applications of the flotation technology, as well as understanding the principles behind the flotation process including bubble-bubble and bubble-particle interactions. ![]() Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arshad Adam Salema | Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arshad Adam Salema leads the Energy and Sustainability Laboratory at Monash Malaysia and also course coordinator of Master of Advanced Engineering (Energy and Sustainability). His work focuses on how to save energy and design and develop renewable energy technologies (bioenergy and solar). He is currently engaged with Sime Darby Research Sdn. Bhd. on the microwave sterilization process and completed a solar energy project for electric buses with Prasarana Bhd.

Dr. Ooi heads the Combustion and Fuel team under the Energy & Sustainability platform. He is currently a Senior Lecturer of Mechanical Engineering discipline. His research interests are in combustion science, internal combustion engines, biofuels, fuel blending optimization, emission reduction strategies, and nanomaterials. | Dr Lutfi Kurnianditia Putri pursues research in advanced functional materials for energy applications. She has an extensive experience in functional materials, catalysis, and green energy technologies, with a focus on developing materials and systems for photo(electro)chemical and electrochemical processes that address energy, environmental, and sustainability challenges.
