Priyanka Vairavasundaram - UK's Diana Award recipient for 2020

Our Chemical Engineering student, Priyanka Vairavasundaram was honoured with The Diana Award on 1 July 2020 for her active social action and humanitarian efforts. Established in memory of Princess Diana, Princess of Wales, and supported by The Duke of Cambridge and The Duke of Sussex, the award is given out by the charity of the same name to honour Princess Diana's belief that youths have the power to change the world.


Six years ago, Priyanka founded and ran the SPARK Student's Success Program in Penang for underprivileged and underperforming students. She provided them with a series of enrichment programs and has since been held in high esteem by school authorities in Penang.

Priyanka was among the 184 young change makers to receive the award through an online ceremony.
