Eligibility

Applicants must satisfy the minimum admission requirements for the relevant research degree, including both academic qualifications and English language proficiency. Typically, this corresponds to a high distinction average (H1/H1E or First Class Honours, as assessed by MGE at the point of admission) from a recognised university.

Scholarship selection is competitive and based on a combination of academic excellence, research output (with preference given to ISI-indexed publications), and relevant research experience or achievements.

Applicants are also expected to proactively contact potential supervisors to express interest in existing projects or to discuss proposed research topics. Profiles of academic staff and their research areas are available in our Research Profile section.
