Transportation Engineering
The rapid development of emerging technologies (i.e., intelligent transport systems, big data, and autonomous vehicles) has shifted the focus of transport planning and management, from transport infrastructure construction to system-based transportation in order to provide reliable transport services and enhance accessibility. We conduct research on various issues related to dynamic transport planning and modeling that consider the stochastic nature of traffic demand and road capacity to assist in creating reliable and sustainable intelligent transport ecosystems. These transport research activities are further extended to assist in developing a dynamic autonomous vehicle's traffic model.
