Monash Engineering Challenge Cup (MECC) 2026

About Monash Engineering Challenge Cup (MECC)

The Monash Engineering Challenge Cup (MECC) 2026 is an exciting robotics competition created for secondary school students to experience autonomous robotics and engineering through hands-on learning.

Participants will design, build and program an autonomous line-following robot capable of navigating a complex path with multiple intersections using optical sensors and intelligent decision-making.

Beyond competition, MECC introduces students to robotics engineering, embedded systems, programming, automation and innovation while providing an opportunity to experience engineering at Monash University Malaysia.

Our Objectives

  • Robotics Education for Future Innovators

We aim to inspire secondary school students to explore the exciting world of robotics and engineering through engaging, hands-on learning experiences.

  • Hands-On Engineering Experience

Participants will gain practical experience in robot construction, programming, and autonomous navigation while developing valuable technical skills.

  • Innovation Through Problem Solving

Students will be challenged to think creatively, analyse problems, and develop innovative solutions to real engineering challenges.
