M-CRInfra2026 Symposium
ABOUT THE M-CRINFRA2026 SYMPOSIUM
The construction and infrastructure industry plays a vital role in providing employment and promoting socio-economic growth in many developing countries. However, it has also faced criticism for its significant contributions to climate change, as it relies heavily on natural resources, energy, and carbon-intensive processes. Therefore, it is essential to enhance research capacity related to the climate resilience of built infrastructure, with a focus on strategies for low-carbon construction, sustainable living, future mobility, and digitalizing construction processes. Additionally, initiatives aimed at improving the resilience of built infrastructure in response to climate actions are crucial. This symposium promotes these strategies through a combination of collaboration, education, and outreach activities.
