Monash Climate-Resilient Infrastructure Research Hub (M-CRInfra)

Monash Climate-Resilient Infrastructure Research Hub (M-CRInfra) aims to develop innovative solutions integrating state-of-the-art technologies, circular practices, collaborative expertise, and outreach strategies that support, educate on, and enhance the resilience of the built infrastructure to climate actions. Research and innovation in climate-resilient infrastructure is essential because it enables the development of innovative solutions and strategies that can safeguard our built environment from the escalating threats posed by climate change, as well as reduce the impact of the built infrastructure systems and the occupants on climate actions. The Monash Climate-Resilient Infrastructure Research Hub (M-CRInfra), will contribute to this aim through four cross-strategic multi-stakeholder interdisciplinary focused themes: (1) Transforming Construction;(2) Future Mobility; (3) Extreme Hydroclimatics; and (4) Digital Sustainability.

Medical Engineering & Technology (MET) Hub

The Medical Engineering and Technology (MET) Hub is a multidisciplinary research hub in the School of Engineering, Monash University Malaysia. It was established in May 2024 under the Engineering Research Hub program. Our hub integrates state-of-the-art technology such as nanotechnology, rapid prototyping, advanced modelling and simulation techniques, artificial intelligence, robotics, neural interfaces and many more, to address current and future challenges in healthcare, medicine and the general well-being. A core element of the MET is the adoption of a patient centric approach, whereby the needs of patients and healthcare professionals are given priority when designing solutions to address these challenges.

MIPO Biorefinery Laboratory

MIPO Biorefinery Laboratory was established in 2018 to lead innovation in the use of bioresources such as plant oils and biomass for food, feed, renewable chemicals, and biofuels. With expert staff, strong industry ties, and advanced facilities, MIPO delivers practical solutions from research to scale-up, creating real-world impacts across Malaysia and the ASEAN region.

Semiconductor Systems and Devices Hub

Aligned with Malaysia’s National Semiconductor Strategy and Monash Impact 2030, the Semiconductor Systems and Devices Hub was established as an evolution of the former Micro and Nano Devices Research Group with over a decade of operation. The hub will consolidate strengths in IC design, front-end fabrication, and prototyping through advanced packaging to drive high-impact research, IP generation, and industry-linked translation.
