Energy

The global energy consumption continues to escalate and the dependence on fossil fuels leads to serious environmental issues and climate change. Renewable and clean energy supply will be the key solution to overcome the current energy challenges. Considering the highly abundant solar energy which is under-utilised, our research stream focuses on designing novel nanostructured materials and advanced processes for solar-to-fuel energy conversion. In addition, we also explore the advances to produce renewable energy from waste sources through bio-pathways or waste products.
