Exchange period: Semester 2, 2023
Participating in the Monash Global Intercampus Program (GIP) at Monash Clayton was an incredible journey of personal and academic growth. The opportunity to learn in a different educational culture broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of diverse teaching and learning approaches.
Beyond the classroom, I made meaningful friendships with students from various backgrounds, which enriched my cultural appreciation and sense of belonging. Exploring life in Australia while travelling was equally transformative, as it allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and embrace new experiences.
The GIP has truly been a highlight of my university life, offering lessons and memories that I will cherish forever.

My exchange semester at Monash Clayton was filled with many ‘firsts’. It was my first time living in a foreign country, my first time seeing the Southern Aurora, and my first night camping under a sky full of stars. These moments, both big and small, awakened a deeper sense of wonder and independence in me.
While exploring Melbourne with new friends, I discovered a love for travel and a growing appreciation for the city’s rich arts and cultural scene. Beyond the adventures, my time in the classroom has also had a profound impact on me. Collaborating with students from different backgrounds exposed me to new work ethics and cultural perspectives that differed from those at home.
My journey wasn’t just about studying abroad; it was about self-discovery. I returned with broader horizons, a more open mind, and unforgettable memories that continue to shape how I see the world and my place in it.
