ASEAN Monash Malaysia Coursework Scholarship

Tuition Fee Waiver and/or Stipend

  • This scholarship is open to high-achieving students from the ASEAN region who demonstrate financial need and are commencing full-time studies at Monash University Malaysia.
  • Applicable to Diploma and Undergraduate programs offered at Monash University Malaysia except the following:
    • Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine
    • Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours)
    • Bachelor of Business and Commerce and Bachelor of Computer Science
    • Bachelor of Business and Commerce and Bachelor of Digital Media and Communication
    • Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering (Honours)
    • Bachelor of Materials Engineering (Honours)

    100% tuition fee waiver with Stipend and Laptop Allowance

    OR

    100% tuition fee waiver only

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Demonstrate a strong academic record
  • Hold a formal offer of study from Monash University Malaysia and meet all admission requirements for their chosen Diploma or Undergraduate program
  • Show active involvement in extra-curricular activities
  • Demonstrate financial need

Nationality Requirement

Applicants must be a national of one of the following ASEAN countries:

Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, or Vietnam.

In order to maintain the scholarship, recipients must adhere to the retention criteria stipulated in the scholarship terms and conditions.

  • Passport (or relevant identification document)
  • Secondary school results (e.g. O-Level or equivalent)
  • Pre-university results (if applicable)
  • Parent’s or guardian’s most recent income statement
  • Extra-curricular certificates

All documents listed above are compulsory for the consideration of your scholarship application. Late applications or applications with incomplete documentation will not be considered.

For applicants whose parent or guardian does not have an income, a certified income declaration letter is required. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview and candidates who are successful in their interview will be awarded the scholarship.

Scholarships awarded are competitive and at the sole discretion of Monash University Malaysia.

  • Applicable to Postgraduate Coursework programs offered at Monash University Malaysia.

    100% tuition fee waiver

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Demonstrate a strong academic record
  • hold a formal offer of study from Monash University Malaysia and meet all admission requirements for their chosen Postgraduate Coursework program
  • Show active involvement in extra-curricular activities
  • Demonstrate financial need

Tuition Fee Waiver

  • This scholarship is open to high-achieving students from the ASEAN region who demonstrate financial need and are commencing full-time studies at Monash University Malaysia.
  • Applicable to Graduate Research programs offered at Monash University Malaysia.

    100% tuition fee waiver

Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis. To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Possess a minimum academic qualification of Second Class Honours (H2A) or its equivalence (H2AE) recognised by Monash University and must satisfy English language requirements.
  • Not have completed a graduate research masters or doctoral degree at the same course level
  • Research Monash's Grand Challenges, including climate change, geopolitical security or thriving communities.
