Enrol for the first time
Manage your enrolment
If you're enrolling for the first time, this video will assist you with:
- using a course map to plan your course
- understanding the credit point system at Monash
- identifying the different types of units that make up your course
- recognising areas of study.
How to enrol
For additional information on unit enrolment, see the Let’s Begin guide.
Check your enrolment details
It's important to check that all your enrolment details are correct from the Web Enrolment System (WES). Check units you’re currently enrolled in – title and code, campus, school, credit points and teaching period
If you find errors contact Monash Malaysia Connect before the census date for that teaching period to avoid any academic and financial penalties.
Change enrolment details
You can access the Web Enrolment System (WES) to add and withdraw from units up until the end of the second week of the semester.
After the census date:
- you cannot normally add a unit
- you can withdraw from a unit, but academic and financial penalties will apply
- the University makes exceptions for extreme or special circumstances.
International Students on Student Pass
- If you're on a student visa, you must enrol in a full-time study load (24 credit points per semester). Otherwise, you may be in breach of your visa conditions and reported to the Immigration Department of Malaysia.
- Contact your Education Management Office right away if you have any concerns about your study load.
