Dealing with suicidal thoughts
Call 9-9-9 or seek immediate help from a mental health professional when you hear or see any of these behaviors:
- Threating to hurt or kill themselves
- Seeking access to things they can kill themselves with
- Talking or writing about death, dying or suicide
- Hopelessness
- Rage, anger, seeking revenge
- Acting recklessly or engaging in risky activties
- Feeling trapped, like there’s no way out
- Withdrawing from friends, family or society
- Dramatic changes in mood
- No reason for living, no sense of purpose in life
