Special arrangements for assessments

Unsuitable home environment

You should make arrangements for a suitable home environment to complete your scheduled final semester assessment off campus. But if this isn’t possible (e.g. a poor internet connection or you don’t have access to a quiet, private space), you can request to complete your assessment on campus.

If your request is approved, we’ll email you to confirm the details of your on-campus assessment arrangements.

Who should request

This is not an application for special consideration. It's a request for special arrangements, if you're unable to sit your off-campus final semester assessment at home because:

  • your home environment is highly unsuitable e.g. you have poor internet connection
  • no access to a quiet, private space

Where possible, you should make your own arrangements to find or create a suitable home environment to complete your assessment off-campus.

You should submit only one form for all your unit(s) that have final scheduled assessments. This does not include 12 hour or 24 hour assessments. You should be able to find out from your unit Moodle sites if you will have final scheduled assessments.

Closing date and notification of outcome

Submit your request before 19 April 2022.  We'll email you on the outcome of your submission.

Submit your request here.

Unsuitable time zone

If you’re in a time zone where your test is scheduled to start before 5.00am or finish after 12.30am in your local time, you can apply to have your start time adjusted.

If your application is approved, we’ll adjust your assessment timetable in Allocate+.

You can submit a special arrangements application for assessments that are in Allocate+. If your assessment isn’t in Allocate+, you need to contact your lecturer or tutor to discuss a special arrangement.

How to apply

Applications for an unsuitable time zone will open approximately 4 weeks from your final assessment period. We will email you on further updates/information when your exam timetable is available to view in Allocate+.
