Merit Scholarships

This scholarship is:

• Open to Malaysian and international students.
• For entry into any undergraduate course except for the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours).

RM10,000 tuition fee waiver per annum, to be given out at RM5,000 per semester, subject to maintaining satisfactory academic progress.

• Prospective student who has received a full offer to study at Monash University Malaysia
• Must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification or an international senior secondary qualification accepted by the University with an outstanding Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or equivalent, as determined by Monash University Malaysia.

• You are not eligible for this award if  you have already commenced tertiary studies or are transferring with credit exemptions and / or advanced standing.

• You must maintain the maintenance score stated in your offer letter.
• You must enrol a full load of 24 credit points.
• You must complete the course within the normal duration. No extensions will be permitted.
• You are not permitted to take on other financial assistance at any point of your studies.

An application for Admission to the University will constitute an application for the scholarship. All applications for admission consistent with the eligibility and selection criteria will be considered automatically for the scholarship. All successful candidates will be offered the scholarship along with the Offer of Admission to Monash University Malaysia.

• open to Malaysian citizen OR International student
• for all current students of Bachelor Degree courses except Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Pharmacy.

You must meet the following criteria to stand a chance for nomination:

• Current undergraduate student of Monash University Malaysia who have completed 2 continuous semesters of study with 48 credit points.
• Have achieved average score of 80% and above from the 8 units completed.
• Fall within the top 1% of scorers in the school population.
• Enrolled with 24 credit points for the current semester.
• Students who have been awarded scholarships / sponsorship from other bodies (not including PTPTN) will not be nominated for the Monash High Achiever Award (for continuing students).

• You must maintain the maintenance score stated in your offer letter.
• You must enrol a full load of 24 credit points.
• You must complete the course within the normal duration. No extensions will be permitted.
• You are not permitted to take on other financial assistance at any point of your studies.

Eligible students will be nominated automatically every semester. No application is required. Successful candidates will be notified via email by the Scholarship and Study Loan Office.

This scholarship is :

• open to Malaysian citizen OR International student
• for entry to full-time Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) course.

Either 50% or 25% tuition fee waiver for the duration of the course (four years).

You must meet the following criteria:

• Only new students enrolling into Monash University Malaysia.
• Must meet the minimum admission requirements (academic and English Language proficiency) for the course.
• Participation in a non-academic pursuit, extra-curricular activities, and community engagement initiatives are of added advantage.

• You must maintain the maintenance score stated in your offer letter.
• You must enrol a full load of 24 credit points.
• You are not permitted to change course.
• You must complete the course within the normal duration. No extensions will be permitted.
• You are not permitted to take on other financial assistance at any point of your studies.

• for entry into all Bachelor Degree courses commencing 2024 intakes on full-time mode at Monash University Malaysia except Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Pharmacy.

RM15,000 tuition fee waiver per annum to be given out at RM7,500 per semester, subject to maintaining satisfactory academic progress.

• Minimum 5A1.
• Achieved an average score of 85 (SM3 year) in extracurricular activities (based on results not more than 2 years from exam sitting or graduating year).
• Recommendation Letter written in English only from School Principal, teacher or counsellor.

• You must maintain the maintenance score stated in your offer letter.
• You must enrol a full load of 24 credit points.
• You must complete the course within the normal duration. No extensions will be permitted.
• You are not permitted to take on other financial assistance at any point of your studies.
• You must maintain active participation in clubs and societies.

• open to Female malaysian citizen OR Female international student
• for entry to the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) program on full-time mode at Monash University Malaysia.
• limited to 7 recipients for Feb intake, 7 recipients for July intake and 6 recipients for Oct intake.

RM6,000 tuition fee waiver for the first year of study to be given out at RM3,000 per semester, subject to maintaining satisfactory academic progress.

You must meet the following criteria.

• Only new female students enrolling into Monash University Malaysia.
• Must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification or an international senior secondary qualification accepted by the University with an outstanding Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or equivalent, as determined by Monash University Malaysia.

To continue to receive the award in the second semester of Year 1, the recipients must maintain an average of 70% (in 24 credit points of study) and not fail in any units in the 1^st semester and must enrol minimum of 24 credit points for the following semester.

An application for Admission to the University will constitute an application for the scholarship. All applications for admission consistent with the eligibility and selection criteria will be considered automatically for the scholarship. All successful candidates will be offered the scholarship along with the Offer of Admission to Monash University Malaysia.

• for entry to all Honours Degree including the Postgraduate Diploma in Business and Commerce.

Up to 100% tuition fee waiver.

Selection is based on academic achievement for each discipline as determined by the University. You must have a distinction average in a prior study from a recognised university and met all other entry requirements.

To continue to receive the award the recipients must maintain the required academic progress.
