How many units do I enrol in?
If you are commencing your course in February/March:
You enrol in eight units per year, i.e. 4 units in semester one and 4 units in semester two (48 credit points).
If you are commencing your course in July:
You only need to enrol in 4 units (24 credit points) for the semester you join.
If you are commencing your course in October:
You need to enrol in 4 units (24 credit points) for the semester you join AND another 8 units (48 credit points) for the following year, i.e. 4 units in semester one and 4 units in semester two.
Note: Each unit has a unit code consisting of 3 alphabets and 4 digits. The first digit refers to the year level. For example, BIO1011 is a level one unit and SCI2010 is a level two unit.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS (on a student VISA): You must enrol in four units in each semester.

Now, you can start enrolling in your Semester 1 units via the Web Enrolment System (WES) https://my.monash.edu.au/wes/ and create your class timetable on Allocate+. Return to LET’S BEGIN to read more on this.
Once enrolled in your units, you can access Moodle, the learning management system that is used in Monash for you to access learning materials, connect with your lecturers and peers, etc.
Please refer to the principal dates website for important dates such as the last day to add or discontinue units, when fees are due, when mid semester break etc.
You will repeat the enrolment process in the following year (between October to November) to enrol yourself in the next level/semester of your course. Failure to re-enrol by the stipulated deadline may cause you late enrolment penalty or discontinuation from the course.
You are encouraged to use the Course Planning Modules (Moodle) to help with understanding the course and drawing up your course map according to the course requirements.
