Gas Chromatography

SPECIFICATION

Model: GC 8890-FID

Manufacturer: Agilent

DESCRIPTION

Gas chromatography is a well known analytical technique to detect and separate chemical compounds in a mixture of chemicals in order to do quantification or identification. Usually these chemicals are organic molecules or gases that are volatile and generally has molecule weight smaller than 1250 Da. The compounds also should be thermally stable so they don't degrade at high temperature that the GC is operating in. Gas chromatography is widely used technique in pharmaceutical for quality control, in research field to identify and quantify natural products, and in safety and monitoring from environmental samples such as microplastics and alcohol contamination.
