Under the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) Health Consortium and Healthcare Initiative, the Institute for Medical Research will be organizing the ICESCO PRECISION MEDICINE SYMPOSIUM & WORKSHOP. Monash University Malaysia Genomics Facility will be co -organizing the workshop at National Institutes of Health, Setia Alam, Selangor, Malaysia

SARS-COV-2 Bioinformatics for Beginners 2022

Monash University Malaysia Genomics Facility, School of Science is happy to co-host the SARS-CoV-2 Bioinformatics for Beginners blended learning virtual workshop in collaboration with Wellcome Connecting Science and the COVID-19 Genomics Global Training teams.The course is aimed at postgraduate scientists, postdoctoral scientists, junior faculty members, clinicians, healthcare professionals based in the regions across Africa, Asia, and Latin America & the Caribbean. It does not require bioinformatics skills as a prerequisite.The course is free to attend and will be delivered across 5 weeks from October 31, 2022 to December 2, 2022. There will be twice weekly face-to-face contact sessions with experts (on Tuesdays and Thursdays) for the duration of the course. These will be hosted at the Bioinformatics and Big Data Laboratory Monash University Malaysia Genomics Facility.

Introduction to Ensembl Workshop 2019

Time : 8:30AM - 5:00PM
This one-day workshop offers academics, students and non-academic researchers in biological sciences, medicine or the pharmaceutical industry the necessary background information and practical hands-on experience in the use of the Ensembl genome browser. We will introduce and explain the salient features of the browser and participants will learn how to explore the genomes of their species of interest.
