Why study science at Monash?

Monash – the best of both worlds

Our science degrees offer flexibility. Students can study subjects across the scientific spectrum and even take units from other schools such as arts. Fancy majoring in both biotechnology with journalism? Why not? You can at Monash.

Before you pick out your complementary elective studies, you first have to decide on the main study area. At the School of Science, you can choose from three main courses - Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Food Science and Technology, and Bachelor of Medical Science. All three courses will require 3 years to complete. You will also have the option to continue with a year-long honours degree program or take up post-graduate studies.

Students who think outside the box

At Monash, we are passionate about research. We want to bring improvement and create a better world. To encourage innovation and creativity, we take learning beyond the regular classroom. As a Monash student, you will gain firsthand experience through fieldtrips and internship placements.
