Pathway Navigators: Crafting your future from campus to career

On 21 May 2024, our School, in collaboration with the Science MUSA team, hosted a Career Talk for our students titled "Pathway Navigators: Crafting Your Future from Campus to Career,".

This event is part of the School's Career Talk series, where we partner with our MUSA Science representatives to organize sessions that empower students with the knowledge, resources, and confidence needed to make informed career decisions and successfully transition into the workforce.

The theme for this talk was "Journey from University to Career." We invited two of our alumni, Ler Kay Voon (Management Trainee, Sime Darby Plantation Executive Excellence Development Programme) and Tay Suen Qi (Chemist, SGS Malaysia), to share their experiences preparing for the workforce while still in university. Additionally, Ms. Dharani Devi (Community & Partnerships Lead, Hiredly) contributed insights from a recruiter's perspective on the job-seeking process. Our three speakers formed a panel that provided our students with an insightful and informative evening.

The event was well received, with nearly 30 students in attendance. Many expressed interest in attending similar events in the future. Our alumni also enjoyed sharing their experiences and reconnecting with the School, making it a valuable networking opportunity for everyone involved. Not to mention, our new connection with Hiredly also opened up future collaboration opportunities with them.
