Dr. Michelle Yap Awarded First Place for Best Presentation at the MDBD 2026

Dr Michelle Yap has been awarded the First Place for Best Presentation at the 8th International Conference on Molecular Diagnostics & Biomarker Discovery 2026 (MDBD 2026) which was held on 19-20 August in Penang, Malaysia.

Her winning presentation was entitled "Functional epitopes of cytotoxin as enriched targets for DNA aptamer for neutralisation of toxin-induced cellular necroptosis"

Gathered under the theme "Redefining Healthcare: Multi-Omics Driven Diagnostics and Therapeutics," the International conference convened leading scientific researchers, clinical experts, and healthcare innovators to showcase the newest developments in precision medicine.

Dr Yap's presentation stood out among a competitive international field and made Monash University Malaysia proud.
