Yes, you can apply as long as you meet the requirements of the role. Monash University Malaysia will make the necessary arrangements upon successful appointment of an expatriate candidate. The appointment is subject to securing an employment pass from the Immigration Department of Malaysia. It is important to note that normally, an applicant for Employment Pass must have the necessary expertise or qualification which either cannot be found or is scarce in Malaysia. Please note that HR will assist in obtaining the necessary Employment Pass and will provide advice to assist expatriates on their relocation to Malaysia.
Recruiters and hiring managers are constantly reviewing applications. If your background and experiences are a strong match for the position(s) to which you are applying, the recruiter will contact you for a video conferencing or in-person interview normally within two weeks following the application deadline. All applications will be evaluated to ascertain whether requirements of the role have been met. Shortlisted applicants will then be contacted for an interview which will be conducted by a panel. The panel will proceed to interview these shortlisted candidates, which will be done either face to face or via videoconference (mostly for overseas candidates). The successful candidate will be then contacted and offered the position. However, it must be stressed that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, and for those who are not contacted, they should take that to mean their application was not successful.
