Intercampus Exchange | Monash University Australia
What Klara says
“The Monash Malaysia campus has a true global presence and thriving international vibe. There are so many students from all over the world, living, studying and learning together. Opportunities for learning and experiencing the diverse range of cultures doesn't stop at the classroom either, with regular market bazaars and events on campus, there's always something to new to eat, drink, try, or enjoy.”
Thoughts on Monash University Malaysia
“Choosing Monash Malaysia meant all my study options were straight forward and very similar to Clayton. As a Monash student, my eligibility for the Monash Malaysia package was pretty much guaranteed. Providing me with an airfare reimbursement, rent-free living and even spending money; travelling and living here really couldn’t be more affordable - allowing me to savour all the moments and turn them into memories that will last forever. Sunway Monash Residence has been a great way for me to gain independence while still having everything I need close by. With a swimming pool, sports courts, gym and restaurant onsite, it’s never a question of what to do; it's just a matter of when!”
Life in Malaysia
“Sunway itself is a young and developing student hub with a number of universities, many great places to eat and the famed Sunway Pyramid shopping mall. What's more? Sunway is only 30 minutes from the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the best gateway to the entirety of South East Asia. Weekend adventures, or mid-semester expeditions are more than possible, they're inevitable. Inevitably awesome. Where else can you live and study but still have a chance to swim with turtles one weekend, hike a tropical rainforest the next or spontaneously climb South East Asia's highest peak? With so many places to visit, people to meet and sights to see it's nearly impossible to choose a favourite aspect of intercampus exchange, but the frontrunner for me is all the delicious and colourful food. For me, it’s also the most authentic way to bond with the local people and foster a deeper connection with my new home; to venture below the maze of concrete highways and construction facades and dive straight into the true Malaysia.”
