Bryon Noel Tabet
Intercampus Exchange | Monash University Australia
What Bryon says
“I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect coming to Malaysia. Having never lived in Asia before everything I understood of this region was either from media or friends. While some of these preconceptions were accurate; there were many things I never would have expected. I am grateful for having been exposed to both. One of the main reasons I applied for exchange in the first place was to see if I would ever be able to work in South-east Asia; and after all the experiences I have had here I am now sure I would be able to do so.”
Thoughts on Monash University Malaysia
“The main highlights of this exchange for me have been being able to meet people from all around the world (courtesy of Monash Malaysia’s very large international student population). Academically I definitely benefited from the smaller class sizes, and greater degree of involvement teachers have in the progress of their students. This helped me accommodate more time to explore south-east Asia without compromising my academic progress.”
Life in Malaysia
“The day-to-day excitement that comes from travel in another country has definitely opened my eyes to the benefits of travel; and also made me much more open to the prospect of international travel. During my time in Malaysia, I had the opportunity to travel to many places, such as other states within Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.”
