The Malaysian banking industry is extremely competitive and many major international and local banks can be found in Bandar Sunway and neighbouring Subang Jaya, offering ATM facilities, currency exchange and cash transfer services.
Banking on campus
You’ll find Maybank's MEPS ATM machines on campus, located inside the Maybank @ Monash lounge. You may withdraw or transfer money using the machines.
Opening a bank account for international students
You must bring the following documents with you to open a bank account:
- Your original passport
- Bank account opening form
- A copy of your offer letter
- A copy of your Visa Approval Letter (VAL)
- Student verification letter (you may request it here)
