Academic Integrity and Respect at Monash

At Monash, equality, honesty and respect are central to everything we do, forming the foundation of our community of learning, teaching, and research excellence. To ensure these core Monash values are fully understood, we have developed two online modules; Academic Integrity and the Respect at Monash to ensure students understand what it means to be a respectful, responsible and honest member of the Monash community.

Optional Module

This optional module is packed with essential information to help you stay informed, safe, and prepared. While it’s not compulsory, we highly recommend completing it to build your knowledge and confidence as you navigate life at Monash.

Troubleshooting

Use this information if you have trouble accessing or completing a module.

1. Enable pop-ups

  • A pop-up blocker will prevent you from accessing the module.
  • Make sure your browser allows pop-ups in the Compulsory Unit Portal (CUP).

2. Use the right device and browser

If you're having trouble accessing the module:

  • make sure you use a laptop or desktop computer (you can't access the module on a phone or tablet)
  • try using the Google Chrome browser.

3. If the module freezes, contact us

If the module freezes, and you can't select an option or move on to the next page, you need to email servicedesk@monash.edu:

  • type Reset attempt on Compulsory Units Portal in the subject line
  • include the name of the module and your student ID number
  • give a brief description of the issue and include a screenshot (if relevant).

4. WES incorrectly indicates I haven't completed a module

Once you've completed the module, the Compulsory Units Portal (CUP) dashboard should show the unit as 100% complete.

If you signed into CUP with your Monash student account, your progress will be recorded in the Web Enrolment System (WES) - it takes about 15 minutes.

If you signed into CUP using a personal email account (or you’re a Monash University Accommodation student), your student record won’t be automatically updated. We’ll need to do a data merge so completion of the module is recorded in WES. Please submit an email to servicedesk@monash.edu with the subject line, CUP merge required, and we'll fix this for you.

You can check which email address is linked to your account in CUP under the profile icon in the top left corner.

5. Still having trouble?

If you’re still having trouble accessing or completing the module, please submit email to servicedesk@monash.edu. Make sure to give us:

  • your full name (as it appears on your M-Pass)
  • your Monash student ID number
  • details of the issue.
