4. If you are working, who is your current employer and what is your role?
I’m running my own kindergarten and tuition centre. I’m also the Artistic Director of Sabah's first registered Theatre Organisation, The Green Leaf Theatre House. Besides that, I’m a Freelance FItness Instructor and currently working to launch my own line of sportswear.
5. Why did you choose Monash Malaysia?
When it came to selecting a university, the top three things that came to mind was academic excellence, potential growth and quality of experience.
Monash is one of the best universities in the country, as well as in the region, when it comes to academic excellence. Its dynamic and engaging environment helped develop me holistically and the excellent line-up of alumni is definite proof that a Monash experience is a very promising one.
6. While at Monash, what type of opportunities did you participate in?
I joined an online TV reality series known as The Rookie, which was organised by 8TV, Standard Chartered, Nokia and Universal Music. It was a Business reality series with the same concept as The Apprentice, albeit a simplified version. I got all the way till the end and won.
7. How has your degree at Monash prepared to be where you are today?
My degree from Monash is more than just a piece of paper, it is a form of validation that I have matured into a man fit to tackle the real world and make my mark in the industry. A Monash degree opens up doors immediately by making people take you seriously, as Monash is renowned for its high standards. But most importantly, the experience gained in order to obtain a Monash degree made me more proactive and motivated to achieve higher goals in my life - the experience in Monash equipped me to face the real world.
8. What did you love most about your student life at Monash?
The environment and the maturity of the campus, stemming from its lecturers to its students. It's a fun yet enriching environment in Monash.
9. What is your goal in life?
I want to be the leader, where I am independent enough to create a life worth living while creating opportunities for those around me. Ultimately, I want to continue expanding my horizons through travel, networking and touching lives.
10. What is your advice to current Monash Malaysia students?
The best Monash experience is when you truly believe that you deserve to be part of the Monash family. ‘Believing’ means you would work hard, persevere and keep your eye on your goal.
