An expert in cyber security, Dr Wong Kok Sheik is an Associate Professor at Monash University Malaysia's School of Information Technology and serves as Deputy Head (Research), overseeing research matters in the School of Information Technology. His core areas of expertise are data hiding and multimedia encryption, which are critical in digital information security.
His research spans multimedia signal processing, cybersecurity, and digital health. Through his expertise and ongoing efforts, Dr Wong has significantly contributed to advancing cybersecurity, improving digital information security, and advancing our understanding of the field. He serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Signal Processing Letters and the Journal of Information Security and Applications. In 2023, he was elected to the IEEE Signal Processing Society - Information Forensics and Security Technical Committee.
