Individual circumstances vary greatly, but in general terms exceptional financial hardship involves a significant reduction in family and/or student income as a result of COVID-19 that means that students’ ongoing study is at risk because they are not able to cover basic living expenses at this point in time: food, rental, medical and internet costs.

The hardship package is designed to support students, who are experiencing exceptional financial hardship, to cover these expenses up until the end of Semester 1.
