The power of human-centred design for digital health
Digital health tools, or the use of technology to improve health and well-being, are becoming increasingly common, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, thousands of health apps rarely get downloaded, and plenty more digital tools that can even cause frustration and harm. We can create digital health tools with the best potential for positive impact by using human-centred design methods.
The human-centred design puts people at the centre of the design process. It ensures that we are addressing real needs when we create something. This talk demonstrates why human-centred design is vital in digital health. It highlights some of the critical steps of the process that we can all use in our work.
