MonashRISE: MUM ECAN Research Colloquium (Series 2)
Who Can Attend Which Session?
- Early Career Academics & Researchers who have participated in MonashRISE: ECAN Research Colloquium Series 1 and who submit a MonashRISE Seed Funding application will participate in BOTH Session 1 (Masterclass) and Session 2 (Proposal Clinic & Pitching).
- Non-applicants & external participants who register without submitting a MonashRISE funding application, including external colleagues from Taylor's University and Sunway University, are warmly invited to join the masterclass and pitching session ONLY.
Please note that priority for Session 2 (Proposal Clinic & Pitching) will be given to applicants competing for MonashRISE internal seed funding.
Session 1: Research Grant Writing & Pitching Masterclass
Overview
An interactive training session designed to equip early career academics and researchers with essential skills for crafting high-impact proposals and communicating complex research effectively to grant review panels and funding bodies.
Target Participants
Open to ALL Early Career Academics and Researchers (ECAN), including colleagues from Monash University Malaysia, Sunway University, and Taylor's University.
Session 2: Pitching Guidelines & Rules
For applicant teams presenting in Session 2 (Proposal Clinic & Pitching), please note the required presentation standards:
- Each presenter will have strictly 15 minutes to pitch, followed by a 5-minute Q&A.
- Presenters must use the provided Google Slides template.
- Slide transitions, animations, embedded GIFs, videos, audio clips, or live demonstrations are strictly prohibited.
- Presentations must be delivered live on stage (no pre-recorded videos).

Important dates
- Registration for MonashRISE Series 2 closes on 1 October 2026 (Thursday) | 11:59 PM MYT
- The MonashRISE Seed Funding application deadline is 10 September 2026 (Thursday) | 11:59 PM MYT.
