Pre-Arrival

Please visit the Before You Arrive website for detailed instructions on applying for a student pass.
If you have any questions regarding the Student Pass, feel free to contact the International Student Pass (ISP) Helpdesk. When submitting your inquiry, kindly mention that you are an incoming international exchange or study abroad student and specify the semester you will be studying with us. This information will help the ISP team provide you with accurate and timely assistance.
This is applicable only for the Incoming Exchange and Study Abroad students who do not already have a Monash IT Account.
Once you have accepted our offer to study at Monash University Malaysia, you will be able to create a Monash network account.
Creating your Monash IT account
1. Register and activate your account here. Please use UPPERCASE when creating your Monash IT Account.
2. A verification email will be sent to your nominated personal email address for password setup. Please click here for information on how to choose a strong Password.
3. You will enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on your smartphone. Click here to find out more.
4. If you face problems, contact the ITS Service Desk at +603-5514 6200 or email servicedesk.my@monash.edu. You can also log your IT related issues at the myServices student portal.

Please note that Monash does not own or manage any accommodation. All arrangements must be made independently by students directly with the accommodation providers, agents, or third-party rental platforms.
Important: Avoid making any non-refundable accommodation arrangements until you have received your e-Visa Approval Letter (eVAL).
Travel and Pre-Arrival Guidelines
You may begin making travel arrangements to Malaysia once you have received your e-Visa Approval Letter (eVAL).
Entry Guidelines
You will be provided with the Entry Guidelines via email by the International Student Pass (ISP) office after your eVAL is approved. Before your arrival in Malaysia, ensure you have completed all the necessary pre-arrival steps outlined in the Entry Guidelines and follow the specified arrival procedures.
Essential Documents to Prepare:
- Letter of Offer from Monash Abroad Malaysia
- e-Visa Approval Letter (eVAL) and Single Entry Visa/Visa on Arrival for Students (if applicable)
- Passport
- Additional formal identification, such as an international driver’s license or a driver’s license from your home country (optional)
- Copies of the passport information page
- A valid Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate, if applicable (for travelers from or transiting for more than 12 hours through countries with a risk of Yellow Fever transmission)
Airport Pick-Up Service
The airport pick-up service is available only for students who have been issued the eVAL, and the request form is available in the Entry Guidelines as stated above. To request this service, you must apply through your Monash Account.
