This workshop is open for those who wish to find out more about Food Science and Technology course at Monash. Limit to 60 participants at Year 12 level.

Activity 1 - The Chemistry of Candy
Students will be making crystalline and non-crystalline candy
to understand the science of sugar crystallisation

11.00am-12.00pm Activity 2 - Sensory Science
Students will be introduced to sensory science in which they will
be asked to sniff a few flavours and identify them

1.30-3.00pm Activity 3 - Introduction to Food Packaging
Students will be introduced to various types of packaging
materials and asked to develop a suitable packaging for the
candy made earlier
