Mental Health Awareness Session

Counselling Services is organising a 3-hour session on Mental Health Awareness. This session is an introductory version of the 2-day Mental Health First Aid course, which aims at creating awareness on common mental illnesses. It also covers basic first aid for mental health crises such as managing suicidal thoughts and panic attacks.

Details of the session are as follows:

Participants will be given a copy of the slides presentation. The session will be conducted by Ms. Na Mui Gee, who is an accredited Mental Health First Aid instructor by Orygen Research Centre, University of Melbourne (Australia). Mui Gee is also a Senior Counsellor at Monash University Malaysia.
