Professor Gan Siew Hua Prof. Gan received a BSc from Manchester University, England, Masters in Clinical Pharmacy and a PhD in pharmacology from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). She has vast experience in scientific writing, publishing more than 200 international WOS-indexed journals. She has won numerous awards including the “Top Reviewer of the Year Award” from Elsevier and the most cited paper for Journal of Food Science (Wiley). She was also awarded Sanggar Sanjung Award (publication catgory), Excellent Researcher and Quality Publication Awards (individual categories) for many consecutive years by USM. Recently, she received the National Outstanding Educator Award 2019 for the category of National Outstanding Researcher Award. Prof. Gan is on the editorial board of many international journals including Seminars in Cancer Biology, Frontiers in Pharmacology, Plos One, Evidence Based Complementary Medicine & Current Pharmaceutical Design. With her vast experience, she speaks from the author, reviewer and editor's perspectives. Prof. Gan is a dynamic speaker and connects well with the audience. She has been sharing skills and tips of publishing in high impact factors with postgraduates, researchers and lecturers in the country since 2005. To date, she has successfully motivated many lecturers and students in their career paths as evidenced by her many repeat participants (some of whom brought their successfully publish papers to the workshops). |
