Why did you choose to pursue your postgraduate studies at Monash University?

My aspiration to pursue my Master's degree at Monash University began to take shape during my tenure at the Consulate General of Malaysia in Melbourne, situated in close proximity to the esteemed Monash University campus in Clayton. As I traversed the picturesque Clayton campus in Victoria, I couldn't help but envision myself as a future alum.

Furthermore, Monash University's renowned program distinguishes itself through its comprehensive curriculum, great faculty, and access to state-of-the-art resources. Its global recognition ensures that my degree will be accepted worldwide, presenting a plethora of opportunities.

Please tell us about your study experience at Monash. Did it meet your expectations and did what you learn help to open up more career opportunities?

My cohorts were the ‘fortunate’ one who first faced the unprecedented challenge of attending lectures online when the Covid-19 pandemic struck as our semester started just few days before Movement Control Order was announced. It was really a challenging period of time for us students but Monash University emerged as a beacon of support, providing an unparalleled learning environment that facilitated our academic journey during these uncertain times.

What did you enjoy most about your student life at Monash?

I enjoy the flexibility given by the lecturers and how postgraduate students are treated as colleagues rather than just students.

What is your biggest career goal, or what difference would you like to make?

My current goal is to shape the creative industry landscape in Malaysia, leveraging the experiences and expertise to drive innovation and growth in this dynamic sector.

As I am also a Certified Professional Coach and the International Association of Coaching - Masteries Practitioner, I would also like to use my skills and expertise to empower individuals and teams to reach their fullest potential, fostering growth and development in both personal and professional spheres.

Moreover, I am passionate about leveraging my multidisciplinary background and coaching skills to make meaningful contributions to the advancement of individuals, organizations, and society as a whole.
