Why did you choose Monash?

I chose Monash because of its reputation for world-class education, diverse student population and a different approach to education than what I’m used to.

Near the end of my program at Monash, I realised that I had gained more than what I had expected to when I started my journey; I had made enduring and diverse friendships, experienced brilliant and engaging educators, and learned to see things from a different perspective.

Tell us about your research project.

Our group developed a web application to demonstrate crimes data analytics through visualisations and its relation to other factors such as weather, populations, the hour of the day, time and more.

What did you enjoy most about your student life?

I enjoyed the friendships I made during my journey and the learning culture at Monash. Students do not feel intimidated and they ask questions as they see fit, and the lecturers facilitate it while engaging us in discussions.

What are your career goals?

In the near future, information technology will play an important role in public service delivery, more than what it does today. Changes and disruptions in our nation’s public service are inevitable for us to become more responsive to our citizens and competitive with other nations. I would love to be involved and participate in bringing change to public service in whatever capacity I can.
