Please tell us about your postgraduate research.

My research is about coming up with simple and inexpensive methods to fabricate polymer composites to suit industrial applications such as coatings, aerospace, marine and piping systems.

Why did you choose to pursue your postgraduate degree at Monash University Malaysia? Did it meet your expectations?

I did my undergraduate studies at Monash University Malaysia, and I have always felt very comfortable and safe within the infrastructure. Monash University Malaysia is also like a big family with diversity and acceptance towards everyone. Monash has always helped me thrive and has always kept up with high academic standards.

While at Monash, what type of opportunities did you participate in?

During my second year of PhD, I had the opportunity to join Robogals Monash Malaysia (RMM) as a training manager. RMM is a club that promotes STEM to young girls and encourages them to pursue it in the future. As a training manager, I helped train volunteers to teach and create content for over 10 workshops for around 250 young students.

What did you enjoy most about your student life at Monash?

I met and engaged with people from various nations through Monash. I thoroughly enjoyed everyone’s kindness, from the security officers to the lecturers.

What is your biggest career goal, or what is the difference you’d like to make?

My career goals are to innovate and help the young generation to be equipped with skills along with academics through teaching and workshops. My dream is to uncomplicate the complicated.
